At WMS we have a wide selection of chips at our cafeteria, but there are two types of chips people have a hard time choosing between. Takis and Hot Cheetos are the most recommended chips here.

Surprisingly 3 out of 4 6th graders would prefer Takis instead of Hot Cheetos, with a rating of 8/10 on flavor and spiciness.  A sixth grader Megan S. says “ I feel like Takis are so much better because you can’t just have one Taki, you need to have multiple Takis and that’s why I chose Takis over hot cheetos. Takis have an AMAZING lime after taste that makes you want more.”

Megan and 2 other 6th graders echo Megan’s sentiment about Takis. One sixth grader feels Hot Cheetos are better than Takis. Anvita S. says “ I would much rather choose Hot Cheetos over Takis; Takis have a fake taste that doesn’t give me the spice I get with the Hot Cheetos,” Anvita is the only sixth grader out of 4 that thinks Hot Cheetos are better than Takis. The average rating of Takis for 6th grade is 9/10 and the Hot Cheetos rating is 6/10.

7th graders have a different perspective than the sixth graders. All four of the 7th graders said that they would “highly” prefer Hot Cheetos than Takis says Mya M. , Mya gives Hot Cheetos a rating of 8/10.  Mya also states “I don’t love either of them, but I would definitely prefer Hot Cheetos over Takis because Hot Cheetos have a hotter after taste.” The average rating for Takis in 7th grade is 5/10 and Hot Cheetos has 9/10.

8th grade is almost siding with the 6th graders on their choice. Three out of the four 8th graders would have prefered Takis over Hot Cheetos. Emma H. says “Takis are the OG of spicy chips, of course I would choose Takis over Hot Cheetos.” One other 8th grader Natalie B. says “” I can eat Hot Cheetos for a whole day and still want more;, Hot Cheetos are really good”. The average rating for Takis in 8th grade is 4/10 and Hot Cheetos is 9/10.

Throughout writing this article I found out that WMS students would much rather prefer Takis over Hot Cheetos. My preference would be Takis just because of the lime aftertaste everyone loves and enjoys.
