This year’s basketball season at WMS was a great experience for WMS students. Today, I’m going to tell you about our girls’ basketball players.
Abigail Tapia is an 8th-grade student at WMS, and she played in this year’s girls’ basketball team. One of her motivations for playing on the basketball team this year is that she wants to play for the Woodbridge High School girls’ basketball team.
Tapia’s favorite memory of the girls’ basketball season was “when [she] made [her] first three on the WMS basketball team.”
Hannah Amusa is an 8th-grade student at WMS and she played in this year’s girls’ basketball team. One of her motivations for playing on the basketball team this year is “because [her] sister was on it when [she] was in sixth grade, and [she] had done it in seventh grade, so [she] joined again.”
Amusa said her favorite part of joining the WMS basketball team was “meeting new people and improving on my basketball skills.”
Guilianna De Jesus is an 8th-grade student at WMS, and she played in this year’s girls’ basketball team. De Jesus’ favorite game of the season “was our first game against Islen at their school.”
De Jesus said, “[She] stays motivated because of [her] teammates they cheer [her] on and [she] cheers them on as well.”
