Dr. Nezius, the new French teacher at WMS, has brought her talent and passion for French to WMS this year.
Dr. Nezius was asked to characterize herself and she said, “I am kind and fair.”
Dr. Nezius said she came from a French speaking country, Haiti, and it was already in her so all she had to do was just go to college and get the certificate to be able to become a teacher.
As a teacher, she had a great deal of inspiration. She said that she likes culture and she wanted to share her culture with other people, especially young students.
Her favorite thing to teach is the French speaking countries because she goes around the world and shows the students the countries where French is spoken so they know where they can go to use the language.
Not only does she like to spread knowledge of French speaking countries, she also thinks food is important to a culture. She said, “And the food because it’s good to share things about other countries’ cultures and experience different cultures.”
Elijah Richards, an 8th grader from WMS, talked about French, “French is an easy class to take,” he continued, “We learned basic words like how to address people and actions.”
Richards then went on to explain Dr. Nezius’s personality, “She is a nice person and teacher.”
