Arms for the positions

Tracey Freier and Grace Terrell

Now that you know the feet positions, you must know the corresponding arms.

First position: Arms are rounded out in front of you. Your middle fingers should be parallel to your belly button.

Second position: Arms are out to both sides, parallel to the floor.

Third position: Whichever foot is front, that arm is rounded up above your head. The opposite arm is out to the side, as it was in second.

Fourth position: Again, your front foot’s corresponding arm is rounded above your head. The opposite arm is rounded in front of you, fingers parallel to your belly button.

Fifth position: Both arms are rounded up above your head.
