Recently, there was a comerata concert at St. Andrews Church. It took place on December 17, 2025.

Mr. McGuire, choir and camerata teacher and conductor at Woodbridge Middle School, was invited to sing with his Camerata choir at a church alongside the high schoolers.

McGuire was “very proud” of the outcome of the St. Andrews concert. He said, “I thought it went very well. I also thought ‘Cada Cosa’ and ‘Hands Are Knocking’ were the best we’ve ever done.”

He explained what made him want to start Camarada and why he started it. He described his belief when it comes to students who are passionate about music and how they express themselves.

“My belief is that music should be accessible for everyone, regardless of whether they are gifted and talented, or on the Autism spectrum or whatever circumstances- Choir is for everyone. So, for years and years, I didn’t have any auditions for the choir. But after the pandemic, there were some kids who needed to step up and do harder music. There were some performances that logically I needed to only bring 20-30 students. So that’s why Camarata was made,” Mr. McGuire explained.
