Ms. Desch is a 7th grade civics teacher at WMS. She has been here for two years and has made a major impact on several students and faculty. Sadly, this is her last year at WMS, relocating to Colonia High School.
Her kindness and energy always brought smiles to people everyday. Weather you had her class or not. You could eat in her classroom during lunch, you could stop by her class and say hi to the students. It was always enjoyable around Ms. Desch, even if you didn’t have a good mood. She is so relatable, that if you ever need someone to talk to you could always open up to her.
We really appreciate everything Ms. Desch has done here at WMS that we wanted to go around the school, and gather nice quotes from both students and faculty.
Max Travostino(7th grade): “I really loved having Ms. Desch as a teacher, she is a great teacher, and always figured out a way to make her class fun. I will deeply miss her for all the fun talks we had in class, all the projects we did, all the funny jokes and good times we enjoyed together.”
Zayn Rajan(7th Grade): “Having Ms. Desch as my civics teachers was amazing. She is a great teacher and helps out whenever you need something. Ms. Desch has always been nice to me even when I was doing something wrong. I will really miss her as a teacher and I wish her the best at her next school.”
Xcyveon Hernandez(7th Grade): “Even though I didn’t have Ms. Desch, overall she is a great person and a great teacher. From her giving me fruits at lunch, to her becoming one of my favorite teachers in the school. Ms. Desch has been a great person towards me and to others. When she leaves I will really miss her and miss having our daily conversations together.”
Ana Martinez(7th Grade): “Ms. Desch showed a lot of kindness, and really let me trust her. She also showed me how good of a teacher she is, and I trust to go to her if I ever needed advice. I also loved having lunch with her, where I would fill her in on the drama, and have fun.”
Jaden Jefferson(7th Grade): “She is very funny, and let me enjoy her class. I always felt joyful and ready to learn because she always had a smile on her face. I loved the projects, when I got to work with all my classmates, and experience fun and happiness in her class.”
Mya Burgos(7th Grade): “Her impact on me was really good, because she was respectful and really helped me enjoy civics this year. Any of the projects I got to do because everyone was always happy and I enjoyed all the activities we did together. My favorite lesson was economics because we got to do fun projects and learn about money.”
Ariel Gonzalez(7th Grade): “She was really fun, and taught me a lot. She was always so respectful to me. It was so special because she is the best teacher I ever had and I always had excitement going into her class. I love when she taught me Valley Forge because it was really long and interesting. If I could describe Ms.Desch in one word I would say fun, because she is really energetic and kind.”
Mrs.Alejandro(7th Grade): “Working with Ms. Desch has been a wonderful experience. She is extremely dedicated, and her commitment to our students has made every moment successful and enjoyable. I loved sharing ideas, brainstorming, and supporting one another through challenges, while also celebrating all the success. I always loved how positive she was. She always had energy, enthusiasm, and a smile that lifted everyone’s mood. I’m going to miss her terribly, and I wish the best of luck in the upcoming school years!”
Mr. Godkin(7th Grade): “ Working with Ms. Desch was awesome, I had another teacher starting this school the same year as me, so it made me more comfortable. I loved that we shared a room because it was easier to make the room look better, share ideas, it was great to have someone who I could rely on if I needed her. One great memory I had Ms. Desch was sometimes the students we have are crazy, so sometimes we would talk about how our classes were. It was always nice to have someone I could talk to consistently. Ms. Desch will be missed, and I know she will succeed where ever she goes. Success will be following her through the rest of her teaching career.”
To conclude, Ms. Desch, we will really miss you. All the impact she had on everyone has amazing and we are all thankful for what she has done here at WMS. All the great memories we enjoyed with her were great, and we wish you all the success wherever you go.
