As you may know we are halfway through the NFL season and almost at the fantasy playoffs! That also means the trade deadline is approaching and waiver wires are almost over.
To prepare for a draft is crucial to know how many people are in the league and know when your pick is, lastly you need to know if it is a snake draft or not. After you figure that out, try to get at least 3-4 people for every round in the draft. I have gathered information from Justin Paz, an 8th grader at WMS, who is number 2 in his league right now to give some pre draft strategies. He said, “ Look at players’ stats from the year before, take a WR or RB in the first round, take a QB early in the draft but now too early because a lot of QBs are good.”
Right now the best option is to try to trade for a consistent player. Look at stats and see who has been performing well frequently. This year the league is very different. You wouldn’t expect Daniel Jones and Baker Mayfield to be starting on the two best teams in their conference.
If you are in a smaller league try to get Drake Maye right now he is looking like an MVP candidate and now a lot of people have him on a roster, if they do try to trade because he has a high chance of being the QB in fantasy for the next few weeks.
Other QBs that are worth trying to get are Caleb WIlliams, Jayden Daniels, and Bo Nix.
Now for RB a lot of people had Cam Skattebo who is out for the season, Javonte Williams is a big sleeper pick and is projected to have the 2nd most rushing yards in the league.Other good running back that you should try to trade for are definitely Saquon Barkley, Bijan Robinson and Quinshon Judkins.
Some other picks at other positions are Tyler Warren TE , Dallas Godert TE, Jake Ferguson TE, Jordan Addison WR which surprisingly is not a lot of rosters.
For defense Titans, and bill defense have also been really solid.
One really good player that you could pick up is Joe Burrow, he can’t play until the fantasy playoffs but the last 4 years he has been a top 5 QB in the league, arguably top 3.
If you follow those tips, you are guaranteed to NOT run that milk mile this year.
