The following is a full transcript of the interview given by Teala Caverly to the Warrior Messenger’s LEAH BURGOS about being a twirler.
LB: I’m Leah Burgos from the Warrior Messenger can you please spell your first and last name?
TC: T-E-A-L-A-C-A-V-E-R-L-Y
LB: You told me you mom is a coach how do you feel about that?
TC: Sometimes it’s fun and I get extra practice a lot but also it’s really difficult.
LB: Would you like to have morning practice or night practice?
TC: I would rather have night practice because I feel like they are more fun and my coaches are less caring of what we do.
LB: when you wear your costume for twirling are they comfortable or uncomfortable?
TC: Sometimes it depends, most of the time they are uncomfortable so I have to wear something under it but other than that they are fine.
LB: When you have a computation what do you say to yourself before you go?
TC: I just tell myself to just do it because the worst thing that will happen is I get hurt but I will come back.
LB: You told me things about your ladybug. How does this ladybug make you feel?
TC: The ladybug makes me feel like i have a lot of luck and it feels like I have my coach always with me because I had a coach and she had to leave but she gave me the ladybug so i keep it for good luck.
LB: Is there anything else you would like to add?
TC: No thank you.
LB: Can I please take your picture?
TC: Yes.
