The following is a full transcript of the interview given by TEALA CAVERLY to The Warrior Messenger’s SAMIRAH REYES about the WMS cheer team
(The Warrior Messenger) SAMIRAH REYES, HOST: How do you spell your first and last name?
TEALA CAVERLY (7th-grade cheerleader for the WMS cheer team): t-e-a-l-a-c-a-v-e-r-l-y
SR: Okay, what is the most challenging stunt you or your team have had to hit this year?
TC: Either a full, or a hitch because, during the hitch you only have one foot being supported and held up and it is super difficult to keep my balance sometimes. Then the full is pretty difficult because i’m really high up and I get scared sometimes.
SR: Okay thank you, so I heard that you do competition dance outside of school, is it hard to maintain doing two sports at the same time?
TC: Yes, most of the time I would have to go from cheer practice straight to dance, or straight from the games to practice and it did get pretty hard at times but I kept going.
SR: Okay, what is something fun that your team does to show school spirit?
TC: We do the pep rallies and that’s really fun for us, it is a little scary sometimes to perform in front of the whole school but I really love it. We also get to tumble and stunt during timeouts at the games and hype up the crowd, which I think shows a lot of school spirit, but yeah overall it’s really fun.
SR: Okay thank you, is there anything else you would like to add?
TC: No thank you.
SR: Thank you for your time.
