WMS girls softball tries to slide back into the championship
The WMS softball team is ready to continue their winning attitude this year with the help of Mr.Maneri and Ms.Dunn.
According to Maneri “The team is a doing great so far”. He strives to go win the championship. We asked Maneri “If you could bring back anyone who graduated, who would it be and why?” , he thinks that if he had to bring back anyone, it would be Emily Christie, but he doesn’t think we need too. He thinks Emily had a lot of leadership last year.
He “wants to build championship mentality, not just winning the championship, but how you act”. Both coaches, Mr.Maneri and Ms.Dunn, think `the team need to work on communication in the field.
When asked “Do you think we have a positive attitude why or why not?”, Ms.Dunn replied “Yes because if we didn’t have a positive attitude, we would still be doing old habits.”
Julia Milevoi was asked “If you could make any changes to the team what would they be?”, she believes that the WMS softball team “don’t need to make changes, but keep working”. While Ms.Dunn thinks we need to work on the field and communication.
Giavanna Polak thinks the eighth graders help the seventh graders and give them tips. Milevoi says “Being an eighth grader, I feel like I have to be more responsible because seventh graders look up to us as examples”.
Maneri played baseball from the age of five to the end of high school. He also continued the sport a little after high school. He covered the position of outfield and pitcher. While Dunn, was a catcher for thirteen years.
The WMS girls softball team plans to take the championship and continue their winning mentality.
