The WMS eighth grade student body prepares for an eighth grade field trip this Spring. There are many mixed emotions on the voted trip to Six Flags. Many students who have been to Six Flags in the past have nice things to say about the trip.

WMS principal Dr. Lott explained that the trip to Six Flags will take place on June 9th, 2023. The students and chaperones will leave around 9am and return to school grounds late afternoon around 4pm.

WMS eighth grader Alex Loo asked, “How will food be provided?” Dr. Lott doesn’t know for sure, however, there will be fundraisers in the future to minimize student fees.

Dr. Lott, however, “hoped” that Frog Day Camp opening in 2023 would win the voting. She said safety is her main priority while planning the trip. Dr. Lott said that with this trip having been chosen, it would’ve been easier to keep track of the students as the school could rent it out for the entire day.

WMS eighth grader Taylor Cholewa claims her favorite rides are Nitro and El Toro. Going to Six Flags was the highlight of her summer. She said she believes that the trip will go smoothly as long as the class behaves and doesn’t fool around.

WMS eighth grade student Rosangie Pena, although she didn’t vote for Six Flags, said she’s very excited about going to Six Flags with even more people than she ever has before. She expressed her opinion stating, “It’s such a fun place to visit with friends.”
