Gym in the cafeteria turns tasty

Woodbridge Middle School is building a new gym and the cafeteria is now where Gym class is being held because the gym is being rebuilt. Gym teacher at Woodbridge Middle School Ms.Lukachyk explained what a new gym activity will be when the gym is finished,, “The next gym activity might be speedball, we don’t know” Lukachyk stated, “The extra equipment will be put in storage or the gym.” New equipment will be added. Lukachyk said, “My dream Gym would have air conditioning and a bigger locker room.”
Mr. Thomson said, “It’s hard having gym in the cafeteria, but we make the most of it.” The pingpong table is the most popular game in gym. Then Thomsen explained why pingpong tournaments happen. Thomson said, “The students love ping-pong and its popular.” Thomsen stated that the tortaments came up when Thomsen and Ms.Traschetti brainstormed the idea together.
7th grader Evan Druzba and 7th grader Riley Volpe discussed their opinions on gym in the cafeteria. Druzsba said, “the new gym looks spacey”, and Riley Volpe said “ looks to be bigger and more activities could be done like the old one.” Druzsba then explained that he wanted a new Gym really bad because he always got hit in the head because the gym was so small.
Volpe said, “I would want more sunlight and air conditioning.” Druzba said he would want new locker rooms and easier locks because the old ones were hard to open and the combination was hard to remember. Volpe stated that there were pillars in front of the locker room doors and basketball hoops in front of the bleachers. Druzba explained“the old mats were hard as a rock and when people would run into them, they would get hurt”.
WMS Vice Principal Mr. Haris explained that his dream gym would have a fitness center in the back of the gym, a three lane track and an Olympic size swimming pool. Harris mentioned that he is “very excited” about the new gym and can’t wait. The new gym will be done by September 2019.
