Ava Perez, Fall Author

Mrs Liastro is a  7th & 8th teacher who created an Anthropology lesson  for her 8th graders. She said there were about 35 teachers that gave her some of their belongings

“I  made it up”,  Liastro explained. It taught her students how to examine artifacts & use them as clues.  She also said that she “wanted to do a fun lesson” and that her students “really liked it”.

Mrs. Liastro taught  this assignment around the beginning of the year. She used to have the assignment in the cafeteria, but this year it took place in the auditorium as a result of the construction.   She said that her students learned “how to examine artifacts and use them as clues”.

Students in her class shared their opinions about the lesson. 8th grader, Kayla Ruiz, commented,    “the project was fun because you got to know more about the teachers.” She also said that the most fun about the project was “trying to figure out what teacher the things belonged to”.

She also said that the easiest  teacher to identify was Mr. Maneri because he coaches softball and “it had his initials  on the object”. She also said some of the teachers that gave Mrs. Liastro some of these things were Mrs. Racket and Mrs. Duffy.

Madison Rackett said, “I like her class because it is really fun.” She also said that she got some of the teachers right. She said, “Yes I got my mom right.”  She also said that the most fun aspect of the project was guessing the teachers .

Then she said here favorite part of the project  was “learning about the artifacts and how they work.”
