If you enjoy watching dark dramatic shows, then Riverdale is the one for you. This show is a jaw dropping take on a few teens in the mysterious town called Riverdale. The show has juicy details, cliffhangers and tons of plot-twists. The show began January 26,2017. This show is more relevant to our generation. However, I felt that season 2 is superior to season 1.

Season 2 has more drama and shocking moments. It shows everything that happened at the river’s edge. In season 2 a lot of people almost lose their lives, which adds to the drama. It’s more of an attention grabber;season 1 can get a little bit boring. l can hardly wait for season 3 to come out to see even more plot twists. I appreciate all the details shown in the show down to the crisp details.

I enjoy the relationship of the characters; their friendship warms hearts all over the world. However, I enjoyed Jughead’s character more in season 2. He had an edgy dark side to him after he joined the Serpents. He changed from a quiet journalist who spent most nights at the drive-in into being a South side Serpent.  There is South side and North side rivalry, so you can see why his friends became disappointed and worried about him. All of Jughead’s friends are North siders’ , but his dad is a South sider.

This series mostly takes place at their houses, their school and Pop’s diner. Between Season 1 and 2 darker things happen in Pop’s diner. It’s not always just having a cute little milkshake with a friend. It can lead to horrific breakups or just a bloody mess.

Most people rate this show 5 out of 5 stars. Julia Milevoi, 8th grader, said this show is “Suspenseful, surprising and entertaining.” Kayla Ruiz, 7th grader, could agree, her favorite part is when Ms. Grundy ran for the hills in season 1. Gianna Orten, 7th grader, describes this series as “thrilling and jaw dropping.” 5 out of 6 people supported Jughead and Betty’s relationship. But only one voted for Veronica and Archie.

I recommend kids ages 12 and up should watch this. It is a bit violent for young kids, but otherwise it’s an attention grabber for others. It’s one of the most popular shows on tv right now and I 100% recommend you to watch it.
