WMS Warriors kickoff the second semester with a week full of surprises
Jan 17, 2018
Congratulations WMS students and staff! We’ve made it through the first half of the year. Mr. Blasena would like to “commend students on a great job so far” but also remind them that there’s still a second half of the year that we have to pull through.
To ensure a great start to the second half of the year, the Warrior Way committee has constructed a mid-year kickoff assembly that will include activities that will hopefully set a positive tone for the rest of the year.
A few things to look forward to are bigger PBSIS prizes, Spirit Week, grade level assemblies, 8th grade dance, 8th grade graduation, sporting events, a band concert, and band competition. How does ordering lunch from McDonald’s sound?
The Warrior Way committee is announcing a new prize for eighth graders who earn Warrior Way tickets for a positivity around school. You and two or three friends share a lunch table, exclusively, only for the cost of good behavior!
Eighth graders Emilia Kraft and Maciya Smith say that at the mid year kickoff they want to see the cheerleaders do tumbling and the basketball players do some trick shots to get the crowd hyped with a pie in the face as well. Along with them are Ka’Mayah Salazar and Ryleigh Mihalics who say they would like to see more t-shirt cannons being launched.
This year has been great for others as well. Hopefully the rest of the year is a success as well.
