Being a teenager can be challenging sometimes. At this time in our lives, we’re seeking approval from our peers and trying to fit in with the crowd. Sometimes, we’ll go the extra mile to prove we belong. We may change our clothes, and our hair, and even the way we speak. We may find popular friends, follow all the trends, and hang with the “cool kids”, just to feel accepted by the people around us. The truth is, you only need to go to the greatest length to satisfy YOURSELF. Everyone wants to feel like they belong, and that’s okay. Change can be good, but do not change to please others. Self acceptance is the best acceptance. Impress yourself, you matter.
