RETURNING BACK TO A GOOD SEASON.

The WMS boys basketball team is shooting its way back into the season. Last year they went 9-0 and hoping to do it again this year.

“It was really hard to make the team because there were 32 kids trying out and there was a lot of competition” Ricky Nagy said. Mr. Guidetti said he feels “confident” and “good” for this upcoming season, he also said that the team is “solid” and hard working.

The Bradley twins both said that they feel “good” about leading the team because they “help younger players and work with them.” While Nick Hilenski said “I feel I can help everyone and know where to put people.”

Hilenski “can’t imagine his life without basketball”. Considering he has been playing for 8 years, Starting with rec. then to travel followed by playing AAU for 2 years.

Jayson Bradley is “confident” saying “I think we will go back to back champions”. Jake Serrano’s goal this year is to win the championship.

Mr.Guidetti wants to “maintain a level of excellence as gentlemen” and thinks the team has “confidence and solid kids”. He was inspired to be a coach because he “loves the game and loves to help kids grow”. Mr. Guidetti thinks there needs to be work done with everything and needs to get the team to work together. He also thinks they are hard working, put a lot of effort and try to make corrections.

A new 8th grade player to the team, Kenny Rudy, was inspired to play basketball because of his “grandfather who was an all around athlete” and was a “state champion in basketball and baseball”. Rudy played basketball for one and a half years and thinks it’s fun to play with friends.
The person who inspires Ricky Nagy is his dad, he said it’s him because “He pushes me to hustle a lot and I appreciate that.”

Dylan Bradley says he “loves” to play basketball and that it’s a big impact on his life. Edin Olevic says basketball “is his whole life and he hopes it’s his future too.
