National Cupcake Day is a holiday dedicated to cupcakes where many people celebrate by eating cupcakes, baking cupcakes, etc.
No single person invented cupcakes, but Amelia Simmons is known for creating the first cupcake recipe, referring to them as “a light cake to bake in small cups”. The first person to use the term “cupcake” was Eliza Leslie.
