The WMS art club permission slips came out on Tuesday, October 7th,2025, at WMS. Students should join if they are interested in art.
Mrs. Donewitz, a 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade art club teacher in WMS, said, “The 8th graders are working on paper mache figure sculpture, the 7th graders have just finished an origami project sky scallop star design, an attract painting explosion book,On November 2nd art club is going to start so every one can start going.
“She has been doing the explosion book since last year and the paper mache figure sculpture since 2004.”
Sherwin Joseph is in Seventh grade and is joining art club. His favorite thing to do in the art club is draw and making portraits. He said if he were an art teacher, he would teach his students how to draw and be creative.
Victoria Lopez is a 6th grader joining the art club. If Victoria were an art teacher, she would help to develop and practice students’ art skills, she said she would create portraits and clay models if she were an art teacher in the art club. Her favorite thing to do in the art club is to draw and be creative.
Because she has wanted to be an art teacher since she was a little kid. Mrs. Donewitz also believes that other little kids would become art teachers if they wanted to. Mrs. Donewitz also said she is excited to see what all the other schools bring.
She said she is excited to see all the schools because she knows from the art clubs that “art can bring all sorts of very different things together.”
Art club members are very excited about this event.
