Mr. Allen won Support Person of the Year at WMS this year at WMS.
Mr. Allen is a paraprofessional, and his role is to help a student get to their class on time and to make sure they are s safe overall
As a paraprofessional, Mr. Allen needs to be versatile in his approach to the classroom. Mr. Panko, the WMS principal said, “With Mr.Allen, we have experienced his ability to adapt to all curriculums whether its band, science or math. He’s in there, he’s assisting, he’s really helping the students.”
Micheal Feliu, his student, when interviewed about his favorite thing about Mr.Allen, said, “My favorite thing about Mr.Allen, if had to choose, would be that he is really good to work with and is the best teacher that I have ever had in my entire life.”
Mr. Allen expressed happy emotions while talking about his journey in education; he stated that his wife was the one who inspired him to get into education. When asked about his favorite part of his job, he said, “If I had to choose my favorite part of my job it would be seeing the different teachers and different classes every day and every year.”
Mr. Allen has shown great dedication and perseverance to his job title; he has spent time with multiple students in several classes and all of them have nothing but good things to say about him.
Mr. Allen has been a great support person at WMS. Mr. Panko applauded him for his constant hard work and diligence. Mr.Panko said, “Mr.Allen is very helpful, I think it is fantastic how he won support teacher of the year and it’s very well deserved.”
