Peer Leaders at Woodbridge Middle School have been helping grow and inform other peers around the school this year.
Kai Dowell said that he liked seeing everyone clap for him when he was done and cheer him on when he was going up the stage. This shows how being a part of the Peer Leaders can help gain confidence and help students become a better version of themself.
Aiden De Los Angeles said that he joined Peer Leaders because he knew that the Peer Leaders were going to promote events like the Black History Month Assembly and so he wanted to give everyone “their own perspective of things”. This shows that becoming a Peer Leader can help other students have their own knowledge of things.
De Los Angeles also mentioned that teaching 4th graders for Sidekicks can be “nice and fun.” De Los Angeles said, “because since they know that we’re older than them they kind of like to listen.” This shows how becoming a Peer Leader can help students become someone lower grade levels can look up to.
Hannah Amusa said “I would recommend other students to join the Peer Leaders because you learn a lot during when you’re in Peer Leaders.” This shows students that joining Peer Leaders can give students a new learning experience.
