On Feb 21st, 2025, Harsh Patel was granted the Warrior of the Week award. 

Patel, an 8th grader at WMS, explained why he thought he won the award. He said, “I helped out other people” to win the award. When he first got called down, he said he was in “Disbelief” After he told his parents, they were” very proud” and they bought him a free lunch. 

Mrs. Moorjani, one of Patel’s teachers, explained how he was doing good in class. Mrs Moorjanie says “He participates, gets his work done, and that he’s a great student. He doesn’t get distracted easily and overall he’s very good.

One of his friends, Janiel Collado, said, “I felt pretty good for him because he got an award, You know he’s one of my friends.” He also said, “he makes me do my work, even though I want to sleep.”  Clearly, Patel is a supportive friend.

Patel explained that if he were to dedicate his award to somebody,  he’d dedicate the award to his family, not anyone in particular. It made him feel more “confident and happy.”
