Mr.Malmstrom is hosting a poetry club this year on October 23 2024 at WMS.
Mr. Malmstrom, the advisor of the club, explained when the meetings will be held, “It is going to be every Wednesday and it is going to be the third wednesday of the month at WMS in room 307.”
Students that want to join poetry club should have the following, according to Malmstrom, “They need an open mind and come in with excitement and to be really creative. We are going to be writing all different kinds of poetry and we are going to be working together. ’’
Mr. Malmstrom explained why he wanted to hosting poetry club, “Poetry is my favorite kind of expression because I think it is amazing how you can make people angry or cry or happy with words. The cool thing about poetry is sometimes the less words you use can have a greater impact.’’
Mr.Malmstrom explained why he got into poetry, “I got into it because in college I had two professors that were poetry professors that I adored and I did a poetry collection for a senior project, and ever since then when I taught language arts we did poetry collections and my goal is to try to get student to like poetry more.’’
