CARING TEACHER: Mrs. Dymond is pictured with Julia Chepel and Mackenzie Tighe. Both are members of the student council.

It is our privilege to introduce one of the most dedicated, loving and warm-hearted teachers, Mrs.Dymond.

For the 2016-17 school year, she was chosen to be Teacher of the Year. She said “It was an honor, but there are many other teachers here at WMS that deserve it too.”

Mrs.Dymond is always at a student’s side no matter what. She has a reputation for lifting people up to be their best. During her twenty six year tenure, she has created bonds with all of her students year in and year out. She said that her favorite part about teaching was “the personalities of [her] students”.

Mrs. Dymond teaches math and is an advisor for Student Council. She became a teacher because she’s always loved school. Her family impacts her in many different ways and they are always there to help her when she needs it. Her kids always help her during the summer to get ready for the new school year.

During the day, she likes to sit with her colleagues and talk about new ideas and topics. She thinks of them as “genuinely a family.” They always have a nice laugh together and she thinks highly of them. Mrs Dymond said, “I think the teachers at WMS are phenomenal.”

When she was in the fourth grade she had a teacher named Mrs.Jacobson who inspired Mrs. Dymond to one day become a teacher as well.

To show how much everyone appreciates her, we found some teachers and students that wanted to share the ways she has impacted and inspired them.

“Mrs.Dymond, you are a teacher that always puts a laugh in my soul. You got this award because you deserve it, you help so many students each and every day. But not only that–you are always the person that I know to go to when I need a smile on my face.” – Diego Rolon

Mrs.Dymond,

You are the definition of amazing. I met you in seventh grade for Student Council and I can honestly say, that was the best thing that has ever happened to me. You help me to make the right decisions and always make me smile. All rainy days become sunny when you are around. You never let me leave your sight when I am upset. You always help me solve my problems as soon as they happen. I can’t even count the number of smiles you bring to people’s faces.  You shine brighter than the sun. My day gets made every time I see you smile.  I remember when you used to tell me how quiet I was and always begged me to run for president of Student Council. You know how to inspire me to the best of my abilities and you always lend a helping hand along the way. You make me feel special in a remarkable way. A place in my heart gets filled every time we do something together. Without you I wouldn’t know the true meaning of joy. Thank you for everything you do, not only for me, but for WMS as well. I am so proud that you got this award. You truly are a dedicated, loving, hero in my life and I couldn’t thank you enough. – Julia Chepel
