Woodbridge Middle School will host a dodgeball tournament for a school fundraiser on Thursday, March 21st with students, faculty, and police officers.
In order to play, students at WMS will have to pay two dollars to watch the game or play, said Mr. Thomsen, the gym and health teacher at WMS.
Thomsen then explained what the money was for. He stated, “All the money is being put towards the school for all school activities whether it’s 8th-grade activities or 7th-grade activities; all the money goes back to the school. It’s a fundraiser for the school.”
Students are dedicated to helping the school and are looking for a win. Kevin Nova, a 7th-grade baseball player, said, “I just want to support my school and try to bring them to a championship like this year for baseball.”
Students also want to continue to play and be the best they can so they practice but that’s not all because student-athletes have to be on their best behavior. Jeshua Cruz, an 8th grader, said that if you want to be a good student-athlete “stay healthy and be respectful to the players and coaches.”
