The following is a full transcript of the interview given by Mr Salinas to The Warrior Messenger’s Eli Hercules and Luis Figueroa about soccer club
Eli Hercules: How do you show your players discipline when it comes to playing?
Mr. Salinas: They have to be able to follow directions. They have to be able to have a commitment to the team, and they have to understand what their roles and responsibilities are.
EH: Do you think that In the future Soccer Club could become more than what it is now?
MS: This?
EH: Yeah
MS: I think that it would be great if we were able to actually create a soccer team for both girls and boys, so that we could play other schools.
LF: How many years have you been doing this?
MS: This will be my 6th year with the soccer club.
EH: Okay, how many meetings would you say you have every month?
MS: We are supposed to have two meetings a month. Yes, that is the minimum amount we are supposed to have, as of the availability and space that we might not have space for us to play; that’s why we only meet twice a month.
EH: What do you think contributed most to the success of the club?
MS: I think student participation is what makes it most successful, the more students participate the more they are interested in the more they show up, the better it is.
EH: Is there anything else you would like to add?
MS: Please, promote the soccer club, and tell others that they should come out and play; that it’s a lot of fun and that I look forward to working with them.
EH:Thank you for your time.
