  1. Wicked: I first saw Wicked in February of 2022. The set of the show was amazing. The actors were phenomenal in every scene and the music gave me chills every time they started singing.
  2. Hamilton: I watched Hamilton on Disney+ in 2020 and immediately I was obsessed. I liked how the whole show consisted of only songs and raps. Hamilton also holds a lot of nostalgia for me because it was one of the shows that really got me into doing theater. I saw it in person in August 2022 and it was even better than the recording on Disney+. Seeing it in person made me cry because it was just so amazing and I never thought that I would be able to see it.
  3. Newsies: I watched Newsies on Disney+ a few months ago and I immediately fell in love with it. I love that the show has a lot of dancing and the singing is amazing.
  4. Ride the Cyclone: Ride the Cyclone is a show that not many people know about, but it’s a unique show with only seven characters. The unique part about it (not a spoiler) is that the characters die at the beginning and have to go through the afterlife.
  5. Into the Woods: I saw Into the Woods when the movie came out and the story was a really interesting concept. I also saw the show in person when our local Woodbridge Highschool did a production in 2019.
  6. Matilda: I saw Matilda the movie musical when it came out last year and it was really good but it did not hold up to some of the other musicals I have seen.
  7. Shrek: Shrek the Musical was a good musical when I first watched it when I was eight, but again like Matilda now looking back the show doesn’t hold up to some of the different musicals I have seen later.
  8. The Music Man: I was in a small production of The Music Man in the summer of 2022 and I had the honor of playing the protagonist. While this show was really fun to put on, I don’t think I would have enjoyed watching it as much as being in it.
