Our favorite artist is Drake because we can relate to him a lot and the lyrics in his songs are really inspiring. He came out with a lot of fire music recently, he also made an album with 21 Savage called Her Loss. When we’re feeling down or going through some things we just put our headphones in and listen to Drake. Drake is a good artist to listen to if you’re going through sad things and positive things.

8th grader, Ana R, said her favorite artist was A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie because she relates to him a lot. She also commented that If she ever had to choose another artist for him to collaborate with, she would pick J.I. One of her favorite songs from A Boogie is “Secrets”, she also said that she first heard of him around 201.

8th grader Aliyah W. said, her favorite artist is Drake because his music is good and his lyrics

are inspiring. She also commented that she thinks Drake is top 3, and her favorite song of Drake is “Trust Issues”. 

WMS 7th-grade student, Amaziah shared with us that his favorite artist is A Boogie With Da Hoodie because his lyrics are “relatable and he’s inspiring.”

Hogan Boyd said, “Yeat is my favorite artist because I like his music.” One artist that he would like to collaborate with is Lil baby. 

7th grader Victoria I. commented that her favorite artist is Summer Walker. If she were to pick someone for Summer Walker to collaborate with, she would choose J.I. She also said that she started listening to her about 3 years ago.

8th grader, Nicholas L., said his favorite artist has to be Lil tjay because his lyrics are good and he’s “very smart.” He also shared that his favorite song from him is “Brothers”, if he were to choose another artist for him to collaborate with, he would pick Lil Baby. Nicholas started listening to him around 2020, he heard about him because his friends told him to.

6th grader, Bryson, also shared that his favorite artist is Lil Baby, and his favorite song from him is “Baby”ft. Dababy. If he were to choose someone with him to collaborate with, he would pick

WMS student Aliyah commented that she doesn’t have a favorite artist, but if she had to choose one she would probably choose Bad Bunny. Her favorite song from Bad Bunny is Gato De Noche.

WMS teacher Mrs.Burke said, “I love Jerry Garcia because he has so many songs you can listen to, and he makes me happy.” She also said that her favorite song of his is “Shakedown Street.”
