Around 150 years ago, the Great Chicago Fire tore through the west side of the city.The blazes took many lives of the people in Chicago. The fire destroyed thousands of buildings leaving 10’s of thousands homeless, while leaving the city in millions of dollars in debt(Roughly 200 million in 1871; around 4 billion today).
