The Lady Warriors being announced at the pep rally

The lively pep rally was only a day away, and the Lady Warriors were just beginning the season with a score of two wins and zero losses. The coaches gave insight about it.

The coaches agreed it would get our team excited, motivated, and “amped up for revenge.”

The season was “off to a good start” and both coaches agreed that it was going to get better. Coach Dunn said the games went “beautifully” and it was the first time the team won the first two games.

The coaches have faith they can win this season, with the pitching and bats dominating on the field. They faced obstacles any other softball team would face. Tryouts were tough for them, but the team continued to stay motivated and positive. Coach Dunn and Coach Maneri motivate their players by trying to have fun in practice.  The coaches display their easygoing nature when Coach Dunn said, “Coach Maneri talks too much.”  The two coaches clearly get along as they laughed after this comment.

When they win, the coaches feel “on top of the world” one coach said. “Fantastic, stupendous!” it was a contest to see who could be the most positive. Alternatively, when they lose a game, Coach Maneri said “we don’t know yet.” They said “every team experiences slumps”, but they have yet to lose a game.

When asked how they would reward their team if they win the championship, Coach Maneri responded, “not if, when”. They got excited at the thought of pizza, ice cream, and Chick-fil-A as a reward. If the Lady Warriors win, it will be the first non-cross country award WMS has won.

Let’s play ball!
