When thinking of the arts most think of drawing, but it is so much more; it’s dancing, singing, and acting as well.

Most people don’t want the arts programs in school to be cut.  Out of the 18 responses taken in a survey no one thought the programs should be cut. In fact a person said, “They are important because sometimes students need a way to express themselves, and art is a big way to do so.”

“I think there are students that are interested in the arts; it is a great way to express yourself , creative, and just fun,” said Mrs.Liastro.

Others look “forward” to the arts and I know I do.  “Everyone has their own interest and it’s a good outlet and might be something they look forward to,” commented Ms.Masperi.

Everyone gets into teaching the arts differently.  Mrs.Masperi said, “When I first came hear, I heard about Cafe Night and it was something I wanted to be a part of, so I approached Mrs.Liastro.”   While Mrs.Liastro took on theater when she was younger when she saw that someone could do drama club she “jumped” to the opportunity. Mrs.Liastro and Mrs.Masperi are now the teachers for drama club in Woodbridge Middle School.
