Mrs.Torrella

The 8th grade teacher of the month

Teacher Mrs.Rackett knows how to win!   She tries to make everyone happy and comes to school every day with a big smile and a positive attitude.

Self-proclaimed “Silly” Mrs.Rackett always wanted to teach since she was “a little girl”. She was able to accomplish that dream in 1999 at Colonia school #22.  Mrs.Rackett commented,  “I make my classes fun by being silly, joking around, and bringing snacks to class.”

Mrs.Racket said, “The people that inspire me are the students and the teachers I teach with.  I have a nice bond with the 8th graders since they were in 6th grade.”

Madison Rackett, her daughter and 8th grader said, “ [I am] happy because I knew that my sister voted for her.” Sister Kylie commented “People enjoy[Mrs. Rackett’s] teaching.”

Mrs.Rackett’s student Alyssa Diaz also commented, “I feel very good that she won. She’s a good teacher.” Diaz would describe Mrs.Rackett as “fun” and “kind” and said “she helps a lot.”

Mrs.Rackett has the best time teaching all three grades and always has a lot of fun with them. Mrs.Rackett’s two passions are her family and teaching, she said,“ Enjoying work and family is enough.”
