Bailey Casanova and Trisha Castro showed respect, responsibility, and integrity; all tenets of  the Warrior Way, which earned them the STAR Student Award.

Kindness is an important thing and something both of these students have.  Trisha Castro said, “Just like when I get bullied or someone hurts me, it inspires me to be more kind.”

“I think I just have a kind heart.  I know when to stick up for myself and I want them to feel kindness,” said 7th grader Bailey Casanova

Casanova said she was “proud” of herself, she also commented,  “My dad was not surprised at all because, well, he’s my dad.” Trisha said, “Surprised, actually, because I have only been student of the month, but never Star student.”  She said her family was “proud” of her.

Castro’s brother is someone she looks up too.  She said that, “He is a good role model and does so much for my family.”   Erin Judge is someone Casanova looks up too as well. She said, “I look up to a lot of people but right now Erin Judge he is a baseball player he’s cool and independent.”

Casanova has a lot of hobbies “singing, sports, band, music, school because I come here everyday ,running ,and drawing.”  She said that she started music in “5th grade. I love music, it’s something I can’t describe in words.”

Castro said, “Soccer and volleyball” are her hobbies that she started “when [she] was young, like seven-ish.”
