Haley Carlson and Tyler Simkovich have been awarded the 6th grade Student of the Month for November. These students have worked hard and definitely deserve the award.

Carlson said, “I felt happy and excited when I won the award since I couldn’t hear about it until fourth block.” Simkovich said he was “honored” and “didn’t expect to receive the award”.

Both have an idea of what they want to be when they grow up. Carlson said she wants to “work in film production”. Simkovich said that he either wants to be an NFL player or an MLB player.

Both 6th graders think that middle school is different from elementary. Carlson said it was because “there’s a lot more pressure and it’s harder to get to your classroom in the time that we get”. Simkovich said it was hard because of how “different the schedules are”.

Carlson said her role model is her “older sister because she always works hard to achieve what she wants to do”. Simkovich said, “My parents are my role models because I always look up to them and they always help me everyday.”

Congratulations! The award was definitely well deserved.
