Chorus singing to WMS parents

John Bakos, Spring Author

Mr. Mcguire is the chorus teacher and the music teacher at WMS. He also was a music teacher in an elementary school. He likes teaching chorus here. He wants to make a class that encourages more boys to join. Mr. McGuire was inspired by his music teacher in high school. When the students first get into the class they have time to talk to their friends. Then they warm up for a couple of minutes. Then the rest of the of the time is sing new or the same songs.  We sing popular songs and Michael Jackson songs and some other songs.

6th grader, Anna Zvoc, said she “wanted to express [herself]” so she joined. She also was in  chorus last year in elementary school so she joined in middle school. She likes how her family goes to the performance and also enjoys the music she gets to sing. She likes to sing with the people in chorus and would not change anything.

7th grader, Laura Tobias, is also in chorus. She thought it “would be fun and likes to sing”. She had to audition in 6 grade to get in the program. Tobias likes “to be with friends”. She would like to change some songs.

8 grader Jason Harrell is a chorus veteran. He wanted to be in chorus because he “likes to sing”. He likes “meeting new people” like the chorus teacher and the students. He would not change anything about it,  but he would want to change the time of the practice. He enjoys the performances and would not change anything about them.
