6th grade students of the month Drew Lukachyk and Alyssa Gutierrez leave many people touched by their caring display of character. Being student of the month left a positive impact on both of them.

Gutierrez left some wise words to help students aiming to achieve this accomplishment. She said “don’t bully and most importantly help others.” Even though she was not there the day of the award the next day she came in with a smile and accepted that award proudly.

Lukachyk was “kind of” surprised about his great accomplishments. He did good deeds to help around the classroom and that is “very important” to win. He reflected that if someone has trouble with something to “keep practicing and you will succeed.”                                      

Neither of these students celebrated, but they were proud of their accomplishments. Getting this award is a challenge. I believe that both students have earned this award. No one could have showed better character.
