The WMS Lady Warriors Bowling Team used hard work, dedication, and good sportsmanship, which was key to the Championship Game.
Over the past few weeks the Lady Warriors have been dominating other teams across the Woodbridge Township District. They earned their respected spot in the championship game against Iselin Middle school. Although they didn’t win, that didn’t put their spirits down one bit.
The Lady Warriors team included 8th Graders: Lorena Gama, Emelia Kraft, Julia Milevoi, Shannon Muldowney, and Olivia Viggiano and 7th Graders: Ashantae James, Caitlin McNish, Cristina McNish, Madison Racket and Ella Tom, and Coaches: Mr. Maneri and Ms. Dunn.
Julia Milevoi thought that the team did “really good” opposed to how they did last year . She went on later to explain why she liked bowling, “Back in the day, when I was three, I went to the bowling alley, and I said to myself, ‘I’m never going to be on the bowling team,’ but now, I am on the bowling team, but even though I’m not that good, I was still on the bowling team.”
The Lady Warriors bowling team worked hard all season together. Olivia Viggiano said, “It was fun watching my team use hard work, passion, dedication, and perseverance, to make it to the playoffs, then succeeding and using the same skill in the championship.”
The girls on the bowling team had a fun time during the season. Shannon Muldowney said, “The season was fun, it gave me something to do after school, and my favorite part was talking and hanging out with my team.”
This year’s Lady Warriors Bowling team was the first to make it to the championships in Woodbridge Middle School history. Because of this, the girls were “very proud” of themselves win or lose. All of the girls agree that they did very well this season, “I think we did good this season because we were the first WMS team to make it to the Playoff and Championship.”
