Team chemistry is right up their alley

The boys bowling team ended a great season with a superb finish. They all helped each other win this championship with the bond that they all made.

The week of the championship game, the boys had to face adversity with overcoming their rescheduled game due to bad weather conditions. But that didn’t phase them as Mr. Maneri, the head coach, claims “We were confident and excited for the game.” Nick Hilenski says that they were “determined” to win another championship. Although the pressure mounted from the previous season’s championship, they were more focused and determined than scared and fearful.

They were “focused” in practices and had “fun” at the same time, Hilenski said. Tyler Moore said “nothing changed during the week of the championship and we had the same good mindset we had all year.” Moore averages the most points on the team with 195 points. The head coach, Mr. Maneri says they talked about “fluid motions” and having “fun” in practices. They were ready to compete for another championship.

After they won the championship, the team was buoyant, but humble after they got the victory over Iselin Middle School. Moore claimed “We were happy because we were able to execute.” As a coach’s perspective, Ms. Dunn said “It felt great to see the boys feel good about it and they did amazing all season.” Hilenski said “It felt great and it was to end off middle school bowling as well as an eighth grader.”

The boys bowling team were 20-1 this past season and in addition, winning the championship at the end. One of the biggest factors was their team chemistry, not only with the boys team, but the girls team as well. Mr. Maneri says “I think this is probably the best year with the team chemistry between both the girls and boys.” Nick Hilenski said “We had a bond straight from the start.” Moore says “Our teammates pushed one another.” Ms. Dunn claims that “the team chemistry was awesome and they worked together perfectly and always listened to the coaches.”

Overall, the boys bowling team ended off a great season with team chemistry. WMS will forever, remember this years championship as a stepping stone for WMS bowling.
