ST.BALDRICK’S DAY: WMS Shaves to Save

Emelia Kraft, Spring Editor

Woodbridge Middle School will be hosting a St. Baldrick’s Day, head shaving fundraiser on March 29, 2018.

St. Baldrick’s is a non-profit organization that raises money for pediatric cancer research. People volunteer to shave their heads for children who lose their hair during cancer treatment. They do this to raise money for these children. Woodbridge Middle School’s hope is to raise $5000 or more this year.

Teachers Mr. Murphy, Mr. Cardoso, Mr. Eubanks, Mr. O’Connor, Mr. Blasena, and Mr. Miller, are all shaving participants. Also, two students were Anthony Velardo and Brendan Gill are shaving their heads. Mr. Murphy says, “I cannot wait to shave my head, my hair hasn’t been this long since I was in high school.” He also says that it is his 5th year participating.
