8th GRADE STUDENT OF THE MONTH: Nicole Galicia and Ryan Kalin

Alison Carrasco, Fall Author

Woodbridge Middle School’s November star students show the warrior way and they do these good deeds to earn the golden award. Let me introduce you to Nicole Galicia and Ryan Kalin .

Nicole Galicia, an 8th grader, said “ I  was surprised and kind of happy” when they called her name on the loudspeaker.  Galicia went on and explained who inspired her to do good deeds. She said it Is her mom because “ she wants her to do well in school”. Also, her favorite subject is science because “they get to do different topics” and one of her  favorite part in science is “rocks and minerals”

In her free time, Galicia plays the piano and the flute and she “really enjoys reading books”. She enjoys being the student of the month because it makes her feel good about herself.  The way she studies for her to get nice grades is by reviewing her notes everyday.

Ryan Kalin, an 8th grader, “was happy to be student of the month” because he felt he was “proud” of himself. His favorite subject is math. Kalin plays soccer  and likes being the student of the month because “ it recognizes his good work”

The way he studies is by“ reading over notes and watching YouTube videos on topics he doesn’t get”. The person that inspires him to do well in school is his mom and himself.

Congratulations 8th graders. Keep up the good work!
