Mr. Vasquez explained why he wanted to become a theater arts teacher.  He said, “I wanted people to feel how I felt. Because when I was in high school and I first found out what theater arts  was and I had a really supportive teacher I wanted to teach my students and show if you believed in your self you can achieve anything you want,  so I wanted to open up another door for my students.”

Mr. Vasquez added what happens in his class and said, “theater arts covers the whole world of creative performance which includes acting, but it’s also so much more than that it’s about creating a community to come together and theater arts is a place where you can express yourself and how you feel.”   

Jephney Dorce,  a theater arts student, explained what he is most excited to learn about this year in theater arts. He said, “The thing I am most excited to learn about this year is how to act and sing, theater, I have wanted to learn how to act for a long time too.”

We also asked Jepheny Dorce what his favorite part about theater is. He said “The theater games for sure”  and to follow that up we asked what his favorite game was and he said, “ my favorite theater game is definitely murder”. Theater arts sound way more fun after you hear about the theater games. As he explained the games it made me want to take theater arts even more!

Jephney Dorce also wanted to add, “If you do your work the class will be easy and you will have a good time because the games are really fun as I said earlier.”
