The Dramatic Auditions

NEW STORIES UNFOLD WITH NEW DRAMATIC MEMBERS: Drama Club auditions are coming up, which means all new fascinating members we see on stage for this one of a kind club.

Drama Club is a topic to talk about. The stage performances, the mood the actors set as they perform. It’s such a good club, and auditions will be held this October.

According to Drama Club teacher Mrs. Liastro, there are going to be approximately forty students auditioning this year. Mrs. Liastro explained why public auditions are held, “We hold them to see what role they would best fit in.” The only way to audition is by turning in a permission slip.

“We also hold the auditions to see if they are comfortable performing on stage,” says Mr. O’Connor, who was a co-advisor last year. “There were about sixty to seventy students last year”, he added. Seeing the difference between the number of students this year compared to last years means that Drama Club is still garnering interest.

“I’ve been wanting to audition ever since I first came here,” says Rachelle Estinvil, someone who is auditioning for the club. She explained how she was part of the play last year and how she “adores” to perform on stage. She also explained that she loves Sabrina Carpenter, which is probably where she got her inspiration from. “I haven’t really decided what I’m going to do first, but I really want to play the role of someone who get’s bullied that way I can show people that bullying is wrong,” Rachelle replied after being asked what she would do in Drama Club.

Feedback like this is the sole reason why I think people should audition for Drama Club. Not only does it allow you to try new things, but it can also show that you’re taking a stand against something lousy, such as bullying. You also don’t have to be on stage if you’re nervous, you could work behind the scenes and set everything into place for a performance. Even if you don’t join the club, don’t forget to cheer the members on as they perform.
