As you have probably heard, the Harry Potter series is getting a TV show. Many people are against the idea of a TV show, saying that it is too soon. Others are excited to see the new adaptation. I’m personally excited for the TV show so I can see anything that has been left out of the movies and maybe even some new scenes that add to the plot.

To begin with the movies were good but not amazing. They left out so much detail that hopefully the TV show includes. Here are some things I would like to see.

Ronald Weasley–

In the books Ron was witty, loyal, and brave. It was very obvious that he was a Gryffindor. He was my personal favorite in the main trio. In the movies he was portrayed completely differently. He was seen as a sidekick and Hermione took some of his best lines. People who just watched the movies seem to not care about Ron unlike people who have read the books who see him as someone who Harry wouldn’t have survived without.

Peeves–

Peeves the poltergeist is a ghost that roams Hogwarts… in the books. He was completely left out of the movies. He was such a funny character and he deserved to be in the movies.

Argus Filch–

Yes, Filch was in the movies but a very important part about his character wasn’t. He was a squib. A squib is someone whose parents have powers, but they don’t. This was such an interesting scene in the books that should’ve been included in the movies.

Marietta Edgecombe–

You might be wondering who this is. If you remember the scene in the books where Dumbledore’s Army was caught you probably strongly dislike her. Edgecombe is the one who told Umbridge about Dumbledore’s Army. In the movies the blame was put on Cho, which is completely unfair. This scene needs to be included for Cho’s sake.

Nearly Headless Nick’s Deathday Party–

This scene should be included because it introduces Moaning Myrtle who is important in the Chamber of Secrets.

Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare (S.P.E.W.)–

S.P.E.W. was a group created by Hermione Granger to bring attention to the unfair treatment of house elves. It was not included in the movies therefore it should be included in the TV show.
