WMS Camarata performed on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Woodbridge Community Center.
Mr. McGuire, the chorus teacher, explained how Camarata did. He said that they did a “great job, especially opening the first program, which is a lot of pressure being the first on the program.” However, he said that they handled both pieces very well, “like young pros.”
Mr. McGuire said that this choir is important to him because it’s the last concert with his eighth graders and especially the ones that he had since sixth grade who had been in the program for all three years and because they have so many students in choir this year between all three years.
Mr. McGuire said he “was very proud of Camarata and that Camarata has definitely improved because they have that extra practice on Monday afternoon and for the members, especially the ones that have been in Camarata for two years now and between choir class [he] sees [them] every day.”
Nathaly Grande is a Camarata member, and she thought that Camarata did “really good.” She said, “I was most excited to see my teachers and my friends at the event.”
Nathaly Grande explained why the concert was important to her. She said, “This concert was important to me because it had some of my favorite songs performed this year.” Her favorite part of the concert was when they sang ‘Stand up.’
She also mentioned being proud of the Camarata soloists.
Joel Tinitana is also a Camarata member. He mentioned his thoughts on the Camarata performance, “We were really good and I liked it and I liked singing it.” This concert was important to Tinitana because he said he always liked singing
When he was asked who he was most excited to see at the concert, his response was, “I was most excited to see one of my best friends in the whole wide world.”
Tinitana’s favorite part was a part of his favorite song. He sang, “So I’m Going To Stand up and take my people with me.
