NJHS and the NJHS advisor, Ms. McHale, collected cereal boxes to raise money for The Woodbridge Center by hosting a pajama day.
Each person who wanted to participate and wear pajamas had to bring a cereal box, any type of cereal box. If they brought one cereal box, the students in NJHS walked around each floor collecting the boxes.
All of the cereal boxes were going towards the Woodbridge food shelters. One of the leaders of NJHS, Ms. McHale said it was her first time herself doing the event. She also stated that they had collected 157 cereal boxes that day.
Ms. McHale said that Mr. Panko and she already said that they had planned another one next year. She said that they might even do something different with pasta.
Many kids participated in this cereal box event. The boxes were going towards a good cause. NJHS kids put up posters for advertisements and went around telling people if they could participate.
Isabella Seno, an NJHS member, said that it was a “cool event to see all of the people dressed up in unique pajamas and also showing their spirit by participating.” The boxes that they collected helped out people that don’t have food and also are struggling.
