The soccer club wrapped up another season at WMS.

 The soccer club is a group of students who come to the gym after school to play soccer. Mr. Salinas is the supervisor, and he ensures everybody plays by the rules.

Mr. Salinas, the advisor of the soccer club, explained that soccer is all about fun.  He said, “I find the soccer club fun. I like how students have fun in soccer, and they really enjoy it.”

Salinas also explained that soccer club is important for players because it can help students who want to learn the game.  He said, “And we show everybody the rules and teach them the game of soccer, so in the future, if they ever want to join a soccer team, they will have experience.”

Some students at WMS think that the school should make a soccer team.  Mr. Salinas said, “We should make an actual soccer team because we have enough students for it, and the students would enjoy it.”

Eli Hercules explained how soccer club is different from a soccer team he said, “It’s different, it’s in a smaller place, with smaller goals as well.

Hercules then explained that soccer club is more about having fun,  “It’s not about competition, it’s just about having fun.”

Hercules agrees with Salinas about having a soccer team.  He said,  “Yeah, I think they should. It would be a lot of fun for people who don’t play for travel teams.”
