WMS has a variety of opinions on who the best villains are. Villains are a big part of a movie. They add suspense, they add conflict. In general, they just make movies better. We went out looking for people’s opinions on villains.Eighth-grader Gianny De Jesus shared his thoughts about some questions we had prepared for him, and he said that Carnage was the best villain because of his complex character of broken and pure evil. He also stated that a good villain has to have a destructive nature and a desire to cause pain and agony. He said if he had to pick one villain to protect him, he would pick Owlman, a variant of Batman. We also asked Gianny what are some characteristics of a good villain. Gianny said in the interview,“ Uh, they are really bad. They like to kill people, they like to destroy a lot of things, and they have a good reason for why they are villains.”Adrian Rolon is also an Eight-grader here at WMS and he has pretty different thoughts from Gianny as he thinks that the Joker is the best villain and Gianny loves Batman even saying, “ I am Batman.” But still, there is something that Adrain agrees with Gianny and it’s that they both think that a good villain has to have a nasty attitude and a killer mindset. Adrian also said that he would like to see Harley Quinn in a movie fighting by the sides of the Avengers. We also asked Adrian what villain he would pick to protect him from Superman and he had a very interesting answer. He said that he wouldn’t even pick a villain; he said he would pick Batman because of how tactical he is. Max, an 8th grader at WMS, seems to have a favorite villain, Doc-ock. Doc Ock seems to be Max’s idol; he admires everything that he can do with his more-than-usual limbs. Max described and named Doc Ock for every single question I had for him except the last one, where he shows his love for Brawl Stars when he says he would like to see Squeak in a Marvel movie as the main villain. What surprised us a lot was that Max said he would pick Doc-Ock to protect him from Superman, which is a unique pick, and he is very loyal to Doc-Ock.Now that you have heard of all of these people’s opinions, it’s time for you to hear our top 5 villains. So, to start off we agree that Thanos is the number 1 best Marvel villain out there because of his complex character, his ambition to get what he wants, and his manipulation skills, and number 2 would be Doctor Doom for us because of his really cool abilities and he is just cool in general. My (Ricardo) Favorite one, even though he can’t be number 1 is Green Goblin because of his motivation to be what he is and because of the spiderman movie he was in with Toby Maguire. At number 4, it’s Ultron because of his lack of emotions. He has no feelings and will kill anything that comes in his way. He also has so much aura because he thinks he is fixing the world, and it took the whole Avengers squad to take him down. Last but not least, at number 5. Galactus, Galactus is the strongest in this list, but doesn’t have a good backstory. He is just a giant being that eats planets. His concept is very cool and he has a desire to destroy galaxies.Overall, villains make movies better and are a big part of the movie.
