Friendships play a big role in our lives, especially are social life, and also our mental and emotional health. 8th grader Kaitlyn Anthony stated, “I love healthy friendships, but I think friendships can affect people‘s mental health.”
The significance of trust and friendship cannot be overstated. Kaitlyn Anthony emphasized “a big thing in a friendship is trust because it creates a bond with others and with no trust, there’s no friendship.” Trust is the biggest thing in a friendship and relationship . Friends come and go.
8th grader Andrew Gabino stated, “Creating friendship is important because some struggle with mental health issues.” Friendships offer a supportive network that can help you through difficulties in life
The connection between family and friendship can also be vital. Andrew Gabino shared, “The person that was there for me was a family member, but I still have a friendship with them, so it’s like having a friend, but you’re also leaving it to them.
8th grader Zaylee Woltz joins us to talk about friendship. She stated that “there are people out there that make you become the person you are, and even if it’s positive or negative, there are still benefits from it.”
Wolz shared that her friend has helped her the most. She told me that “you would rather hear something good instead of bad from other people. I learn the most from my friend, and I think others should take advice from one person that you care about the most, cause they can help and teach you about other friendships.”
We can create a positive friendship, but there will be some negative ones along the way. But they teach you about life in general; they may make or break your mental health. Kaitlyn, Andrew, and Zaylee have shown us that middle schoolers deal with heartbreaks in a friendship, but if we always look out for those who care for us, they will look out for us.
