WMS students, the WMS PTO, and Mr.Panko get ready for the glow dance that will happen on Thursday, March 20th at WMS.
WMS Principal, Mr. Panko, explained what the dress code of the dance will be. He said, “Well, it’s recommended to wear neon because I think that they’re going to be giving out glow items, so we suggest some bright colors.”
Mr. Panko went on to discuss that the PTO will provide snacks and water, but no “actual food.” He continued to say that permission slips were due on Monday and there was no entry after that.
Mr. Panko disclosed the reason they host these dances, explaining, “So what happens is, it’s a fun time for kids, it’s a safe environment, it’s a Thursday night, 6-8, and it’s an opportunity for kids to come and spend time with each other.”
WMS students share how they think the dance will be this year.
8th grade student, Claire Burns, gave her opinion, she said, “It’s probably going to be more organized because he’s very organized.” Burns also compared her opinion on last year, and tied it to this year, she explained,“Last year it was fun so this year I guess it should be fun.”
8th grade student, Aubrey Rebnicky, also discussed her opinion explaining, “I think it’s going to be really good, like last year, I don’t think there will be as many people, but there will be a lot of people most likely.
She also compared her opinion, this time using the Halloween dance, she included, “Well, the Halloween dance was the same so it should be fun.”
