Eighth-grader Jahsiyh Marlin shared his passion for fashion and named his top three favorite brands: “Jordan, Zara, and New Balance.” He simply expressed his enthusiasm by saying, “I like wearing clothes,” which highlights the joy he finds in expressing his style. Jahsiyh draws much of his fashion inspiration from his local community, referring to it as “his hood,” suggesting that the unique styles around him influence his clothing choices.

Another student, Jordy Ceballos, echoed Jahsiyh’s admiration for New Balance, appreciating the brand’s iconic athletic wear and its cultural significance. Jordy expressed his belief that fashion is important because “it shows a lot to other people different ways to make yourself look good by just wearing clothes. It also shows people that you don’t have to wear branded items to look nice.” He listed his top three brands as “Nike, New Balance, and Under Armour.”

Similarly, eighth-grader Aryaceli Rosa shared her perspective on fashion, stating that she finds it important because “it’s good to look good.” Her personal favorites include “Aeropostale, Fashion Nova, and Nike,” showcasing her blend of casual comfort and trendy appeal while highlighting her individuality within the overall fashion landscape.

In the sixth grade, Khloe De La Cruz mentioned that her fashion inspiration comes from me (Kamia Jones), stating, “She has good style and she inspires most of my outfits.” Khloe’s favorite clothing brand is “Nike.”

Fellow sixth-grader Xcyveon Hernandez also noted that his mom serves as his fashion inspiration.
